Our Core Services include:
- CIO Services: on a part time, interim and/or supplemental basis as described above. Most SMB’s can’t afford a full time CIO, but truly need their leadership & vision to leverage their opportunities for growth. Thus our Fractional CIO Service. Inherent with project based work, most organizations go through cycles. Since they can’t afford to staff for the peaks, our services will complement the CIO during those peaks, or fill the role on an interim basis.
- Assessment & Turnaround Services: Assessing the organization’s maturity and delivery level to determine opportunities to leverage Best Practices. Assessing programs to determine if it is aligned to the organization’s strategy and to deliver the benefits the organization invested to receive. Solution Selection to understand the organizations needs and mapping those to the available options (buy/build/rent) to determine their best path. Reviewing their existing processes, people and results to determine areas of potential gain and how well they align to the organization’s strategies & vision.
- Process Improvement: Many organizations tend to simply layer new technology on top of the existing processes and structures. There is great synergy to be gained by aligning to the organizations strategies, then developing the structure, roles & processes to meet their strategy. Then technology can greatly enable the streamlined processes and roles to make much more substantial and rapid gains. For example, we led a program team to reengineer a $1.2B organization’s sales & delivery teams. We were able to gain a > 50% reduction in cycle time, but more importantly the customer and staff loved their new way of doing business!
- IT, Process & Change Governance: Making sure the right investments are made and aligned to deliver real benefits to meet the organization’s strategy. Driving the annual planning, funding & resourcing for their portfolio of projects. Improving the decision making groups to manage and provide needed resources and direction to the projects & portfolio. Validating that the Solution & Technology Lifecycles are appropriate for the organization’s level of maturity.

Understanding where the organization can leverage Best Practices to improve their delivery and ROI. Right sizing the project & development lifecycles. Improving project & portfolio reporting, visibility, decision making & results. Providing transparency, dashboards and metrics at the project & portfolio level.
- Business Analysis: Developing the Business Case to buy, build, expand, spin off or drive other organizational change. Defining the ROI, and proving the results on the back end. Identifying and validating the true business benefits and requirements to meet. Developing strategies to test, implement and engage with the organization,
- CTO Services: Technology development companies have unique challenges compared to in-house IT organizations. The CIO role is expanded to a Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Technology vendors need to develop solutions that a large number of customers are willingly to purchase. Contrast that to most internal technology teams, that will be paid even if the project fails! Decades of doing this work inside technology development & channel partner firms, hearing the Voice of the Customer, Product Management, marketing and satisfying customers.
